Sola Ogudugu, the first babymama of Nigerian music superstar Wizkid, has issued a stern warning to a fan who persistently refers to her as the singer’s wife.
The drama unfolded after the follower dropped a comment under one of Sola’s Instagram posts, calling her “Iyawo Ibrahim” — which translates to “Wife of Ibrahim,” using Wizkid’s real name. The comment read, “Every day is a holiday!”
While Sola usually ignores online chatter, she made it clear this time that she would not tolerate the misleading title any longer. She described the comment as not only false but also damaging to her prospects of moving forward with her own life and future relationships.
She wrote:
“I’m not one to address anything, whether true or false. But this type of comment on every single one of my posts is actually very detrimental to me actually being ‘Iyawo Somebody’ one day. Constantly commenting things like this is not a good look. I actually really and truly dislike it. Let this be the last of this delusional type of comment, please. Thanks and God bless you.”
Sola and Wizkid share a son, Boluwatife, but have never been married — a fact she clearly wants fans to respect as she continues building her own identity and future
