Looking back now, I smile when I remember how I switched from law to acting. Many people don’t know this, but acting was just a hobby for me at first — it wasn’t the plan at all.
When I started practicing law, I was earning ₦20,000 a month. Then one day, I got an offer to act in a movie for just three days — and the pay was ₦50,000. Imagine that! In three days, I could make more than double my monthly salary as a lawyer. That was my wake-up call.
I remember telling myself, “Femi, this acting is your calling.” That moment changed my life completely. I dropped my legal career and faced acting fully — and honestly, I have no regrets.
Of course, my journey has also been shaped by my father’s legacy. Watching my dad, Adebayo Salami — Oga Bello — inspired me every single day. His dedication and passion for the craft pushed me to take acting seriously and give it my best.
Today, I’m grateful for that decision. Choosing acting over law was the best risk I ever took.
