Popular Kenyan singer Victoria Kimani has sparked conversation online with her candid remarks about her dating experiences — or lack thereof — with Kenyan men.
In a recent episode of The Box Pod, the former Chocolate City signee revealed that she is rarely approached by men from her own country, claiming that only foreigners seem to muster the courage to shoot their shot when she’s in Kenya.
“I don’t get approached in Kenya. Nobody approaches me unless they are not from here,” Kimani shared. “It’s like a lack of confidence, or they assume I’ll turn them down. They just don’t know how [to approach women]. It’s like they lack game.”
According to the singer, confidence, good hygiene, and clear communication are often enough to win a woman’s attention — yet many men fail because they use the wrong approach or feel intimidated by her celebrity status.
“Approaching a woman isn’t hard. It’s about confidence and how you carry yourself,” she said.
While Victoria Kimani keeps her love life mostly private, she has previously been linked to Nigerian rapper Ice Prince and Tanzanian star Diamond Platnumz.
Her comments have reignited debates about modern dating dynamics and cultural attitudes towards women in Kenya’s entertainment scene.
