Nollywood actress Racheal Adelaja has taken to Instagram to express her gratitude for surviving a life-threatening experience — while boldly calling out the fake love she claims to have received from some of her colleagues during her ordeal.
In a heartfelt post, Racheal revealed that just a few months ago, she embarked on a journey she wasn’t sure she would return from. According to her, it was only by God’s divine mercy that she is alive today.
“Oba Alapadupe — the God who owns my life, the One who didn’t let me die before my time, I say thank you, Lord,” she wrote. “Mercy said no. God came through for me and gave me another chance at life. I’m deeply grateful.”
While expressing her appreciation for genuine friends and fans who reached out, stood by her, or prayed for her, Racheal didn’t mince words about those who stayed silent. She lamented that despite knowing what she was going through, some of her Nollywood colleagues chose not to call or check in — yet found time to gossip about her in different places.
“To everyone who showed concern, stood by me, prayed for me, or reached out — may you never know sorrow,” she wrote. “To those who noticed my sudden absence on social media and checked in, I truly appreciate you. E o ni fi iru e gba lagbara Olorun.”
However, she pointedly added: “As for some of my Nollywood colleagues… you heard about what happened, yet not a single call or text. But you had the time to discuss me at different locations. It’s painful, but still, I thank God. If I had died, some of you would have written the longest tributes online.”
Racheal concluded her post by giving all the glory to God for sparing her life — and for exposing who truly cared and who did not.
“God didn’t allow me to become a headline through death. He gave me life, and for that, I return all the glory to Him.”
