Legendary Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba (2Face), has set social media ablaze after boldly claiming that men are biologically not wired to stay sexually faithful to one woman.

During a candid conversation on a podcast hosted by media personality Nedu Wazobia, the Afrobeats icon stirred controversy by insisting that while a man’s heart and love can belong to one woman, it’s “impossible” for him to remain sexually exclusive.

“A man is not built to be sexually with one woman. Heart and love dey with one woman. But sexually, e dey impossible for man. It is the biology of man. And anybody wey wan follow me argue am, fine. Man fit love one woman die, but when it comes to that sexual satisfaction, it’s hard. The seed too plenty, you no fit drop am for one woman.”

His remarks, delivered partly in Pidgin English, have ignited intense debates online.

Mixed Reactions from Fans and Critics

As expected, 2Baba’s blunt take has split opinions:

Supporters praised him for “saying the truth most men won’t admit” and hailed his honesty about male desires.
Critics, however, slammed him for “normalizing infidelity” and “hiding behind biology” to excuse cheating.

One fan wrote: “He’s just speaking from his own experience, not science. Real men know loyalty is a choice.”
Another argued: “Love is discipline. Self-control is the point of commitment.”

2Baba’s controversial view hits especially close to home, given his history of high-profile relationships and multiple children from different women. He is married to Nollywood actress Annie Idibia, with whom he has faced public scrutiny over past infidelity and baby mama drama.

The Debate Continues

Whether seen as raw honesty or reckless justification, 2Baba’s statement has reignited discussions about love, loyalty, and masculinity in African culture.
