Grammy Award-winning artist Burna Boy has strongly disassociated himself from a meme cryptocurrency circulating under his name on social media platform X.
The Afrobeat superstar made it clear that he has no ties to any cryptocurrency ventures and described such activities as fraudulent. He urged fans to disregard or report anyone claiming otherwise.
Posting on Instagram, Burna Boy wrote: “I don’t do any internet ‘coin’ business. I see it as fraud and I have no interest in any of that. So if you see anyone using my name for such, please disregard or report them.”
He also warned his supporters not to fall for scams that misuse his brand or identity to promote dubious crypto projects.

Meanwhile, a Nigerian woman has taken to TikTok to share her pain and outrage after allegedly being assaulted by a man who beat her with a cane for ignoring his phone call.
The victim, known as @ajike123_ on TikTok, posted a video showing visible injuries from the attack. In the clip, she questioned the man’s actions:
“Is it by force? You called me and I didn’t respond, so you decided to beat me with a cane. What did I do wrong?”
In the caption, she condemned the mentality behind the assault, writing: “I don’t understand why some men act so stupid and senseless. Just because a woman doesn’t answer your call, you think it’s okay to beat and insult her? Let my experience serve as a warning.”
The video has since sparked outrage online, with many users flooding the comments to condemn the violence and show their support.
