Nancy Nnadi, popularly known as Coach Nancy and the Managing Director of EeZee Conceptz Limited, has confirmed that reconciliation efforts are currently underway to resolve the long-standing royalty dispute involving award-winning gospel singer Mercy Chinwo.
In a recent Instagram post, Nancy retracted previous statements that Chinwo had described as defamatory, expressing hope that respected religious leaders mediating the matter will help bring the peace process to a positive conclusion.
This development follows months of legal tension between Chinwo and EeZee Tee (real name Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu), her former label head. The dispute began after Chinwo accused EeZee Tee of misappropriating $345,000 in music royalties following their split in 2023 over financial disagreements.
Amid the legal battle, Nancy had publicly accused Chinwo of financial misconduct — an allegation that prompted the singer to file a defamation lawsuit demanding a public apology and the removal of the damaging posts.
However, Nancy’s latest statement suggests that both parties are now working towards an amicable settlement:
“On the advice of my lawyer, and for the sake of peace and the love of God, I retract my earlier post about Minister Mercy Chinwo. I also pray that Almighty God perfects the ongoing settlement process being facilitated by the Fathers of Faith between her and EeZee Conceptz,” she wrote.
Many fans and industry observers are hopeful that the reconciliation will allow Chinwo and her former label to move forward without further legal drama
